Lutheran Sunset Ministries is currently hiring for Universal Worker. 12 hr shifts Night shift is 6:30 pm to 6:30 am 12 Hour day shift is 6:30am to 6:30pm

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Universal Worker will assist with activities of daily living; provide basic care to residents and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the manager.
- Assist residents to ensure safety and comfort of residents
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living
- Assist with Resident Activity events
- Assist with meals
- Cleaning duties
- assist, monitor, and administer medications under the RN delegation
RN DELEGATION: The Universal Worker works under the authority and delegation of the Assisted Living Registered Nurse. Medication delegation is at the discretion of the RN as these duties are performed under their license. Not all employees will be doing medication administration.
Qualifications:
` •.High school diploma or GED `
- Must be able to work with residents using patience, tact, and respect `
- Must demonstrate an interest in older adults and senior living `
- Previous experience in resident care desirable `
- Must be able to work with cleaning products and chemicals `
- Ability to accomplish multiple tasks during shift of duty requiring stooping, bending, and lifting
` • Ability bend, squat, push, pull and carry `
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently or more with assistance `
- Have commitment to the purpose, objectives, and goals of the neighborhood
` •Complete additional training as required
