Location: Larchmont, NY
Pay Rate: 65K per year
Hours: 35 hours/ 8:30am-4:00pm Monday-Friday based on school calendar
Position Summary:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Mamaroneck Universal Pre-K Program; a kindergarten readiness program in partnership with the MUFSD. Provide a nurturing, fun, and enriching early learning experience for a diverse group of learners, and facilitate the professional growth of teachers to meet the needs of all students.
Qualifications: 3-5 years experience in Early Childhood. NYS Certification, Early Childhood (SWB, B-2 a plus)
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate care, support, and compassion for young children and families.
- Supervise Teachers, Assistant Teachers & service providers
- Ensure teachers and assistants have coverage for breaks
- Collect, review and provide feedback for teachers’ lesson plans to ensure adherence to NYS Early Learning Standards
- Facilitate problem solving for effective classroom management
- Review assessments and reports and provide feedback
- Participate in and facilitate Individual Case Meetings
- Participate in and facilitate staff trainings
- Collaborate with MUFSD District Partners on curriculum, professional development, and facilities operation
- Facilitate the process of enrollment of new students each year
- Plan for screeners of new enrollees
- Manage and facilitate visitors to the program and conduct tours
- Facilitate and maintain open communication with program families and staff members
- Substitute in classrooms as needed
- Ensure that all student assessments, quarterly, and annual progress reports are submitted in a timely manner
