A driver helper does everything that our package car drivers do except drive! That means you will be on the move the whole day. It is very much a walking job. Past helpers have said they walked an average of 9 miles a day. This is a seasonal position that may last through the second week of January 2022. You do have to be 18 years old to apply.

The pay is ($15.50) an hour. You will likely work 5 to 8 hours a day. Normally, this is a Monday thru Friday position, but as we get closer to the holidays in December you may have an opportunity for Saturday hours. Our goal is having you work in an area close to your home, but if that area is covered, you may need to meet a driver in another location. The center helper coordinator will call you early in the morning to check your availability for that day and give you the time and location to meet your driver. It is very important that you answer when they call and that you are on time to meet the driver.

Once your background has returned as eligible for hire, you will be hired in the system. The final step will be for you to complete the online helper training, which will be emailed to you shortly after you are hired. That’s it! After you complete the training the helper coordinator will see your name and reach out to you to get you started.
