UrgentVet Pet Clinic bridges the gap between daytime general practice and emergency/overnight care, offering after-hours care for canine and feline patients without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees. Our 2-doctor practices offer care for common urgent cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia, and each of our paperless clinics is specially designed to deliver efficient care and equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment.

American Veterinary Group is looking for a Project Manager who can facilitate the work of others. Someone who feels a strong sense of ownership over both the process and the results. A motivator who can build a culture of flexible productivity. A Project Manager that can accomplish more than others because they plan their work, and then work their plans.

Responsibilities

  • Manages all aspects of assigned projects form pre-construction to completion
  • Manages multiple projects simultaneously and effectively
  • Lead interdisciplinary teams to deliver construction projects on time and on budget
  • Assumes responsibility for project staffing, scheduling, and budgetary controls
  • Assists in the bid package development, pre-qualification activities, and budget preparation
  • Leads preconstruction meetings and coordinates preconstruction activity
  • Develops initial schedules and provides detail to schedules as required for each project. Once schedules are developed and sequenced, updates, maintains, communicates, and manages all subcontractors and vendors to the schedules
  • Maintains relationships with vendors
  • Analyzes and presents project delivery approaches, develops alternative approaches, and facilitates implementation
  • Oversees and ensures project close-outs are conducted in a timely manner
  • Addresses and resolves issues related to the project in a responsible manner and proactively seeks input from others in the organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of project management experience
  • Skillful in estimating, scheduling, budgeting cost, field supervision, financial reporting, and client relationships
  • Availability and ability to travel out-of-town and out-of-state to visit projects
