Our Market Developer act as a technical product specialist that enables ChemPoint to secure new business for select product lines across a wide range of markets and industry segments. This is achieved through targeted campaigns, sales calls, and formulation/application consultations with customers.

A DAY IN YOUR NEW CAREER:

• Support Product sales growth by leading sales opportunities through the full sales cycle (concept to closing)
• Implements sales campaigns by performing targeted sales calls interacting primarily with product end-users and technical/R&D personnel.
• Develop and demonstrates technical proficiency by working closely with Product Managers, technical supplier contacts, and customers to gain market-focused insight.
• Leads and assists sales representatives with technical sales calls to support application development and make effective product recommendations.
• Build and deliver Product and Industry training
• Reviews and approves department sales forecasts and capital budgets; prepares and submits district forecast and profit plan. Develops and implements sales and pricing strategies, business plans, and budgets with the objective of achieving Univar Solutions’ financial goals.
• SKILLS AND BACKGROUND:
• Four-year degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, marketing, business or other related field.
• Five or more years of sales/industry/product experience
• Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and pictorial. Ability to change personal approach to drive for results.
• Consultative selling skills to identify, develop, and close new business.
• A natural curiosity to learn new concepts including those outside of your realm.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills required.
• CRM or other database experience, and familiarity with web-based applications highly desired.
