UVM Part-Time LecturersInstructors for Student Teaching Supervision and Elementary Education Practicum Courses The University of Vermont, College of Education & Social Services, Department of Education is currently hiring part-time Lecturers for Student Teaching Supervision and Practicum Courses for Spring 2023. We are seeking Student Teaching Supervisors for Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Middle Level Education. Supervision requires regular, in-person observation of student teachers at field sites located within Chittenden County.The Elementary Education practicum courses involve a combination of on-campus instruction and field supervision. The courses are designed to help students learn about and observe different models of teaching and to provide students with opportunities to gain teaching experience.Transportation to field sites is required and mileage is reimbursed.Qualifications include teaching licensure, successful teaching experience, and a masters degree.To apply, please include a cover letter that specifically addresses a) your philosophy of teaching b) your commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and c) illustrations of any experience with supervision, mentoring, or professional feedback to peers.
