About the work:

The Detail Technician will be responsible for prepping the vehicle for various areas of the Dealership. For example, you may be getting the vehicle in what is called Front Line Shine, or you may be getting the vehicle ready for deliver to the Customer who is already smiling but when they see the work you did they will be BEAMING! . Certain duties will include thoroughly cleaning all areas of the vehicle, that is, the Outside, Inside, Windows, Tires, Bumpers, Grills, Dashboard, Door Jams, Door Panels, and Carpets of the vehicle just to name a few. You may even experience the use of a Clay Bar to remove stubborn stains that are produce by some rain drops. The Detail Technician's work is a restorative art form that brings the vehicle to a peak aesthetic condition. The Detail Technician is also responsible to informally inspect vehicles for defective parts and/or accessories and to drive vehicles (automatic and standard transmission) in and around the lot, as well as to nearby aftermarket shops for specialized work. He/She may be required to replace minor/superficial parts and accessories, tighten or adjust loose parts, and/or provide minute touch-up when directed to do so. The ideal Detailer candidate has a high school diploma/GED, an unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record, a general mechanical aptitude, some detailing experience, and a strong work ethic.






RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Washes and conditions vehicles, to include tires, wheels, under-carriage, and under-hood components
  • Vacuums, shampoos, and applies fabric/leather/carpeting conditioners
  • Waxes, polishes, buffs, reconditions exterior
  • Manages, orders, and re-stocks detailing supplies
  • Documents all work activities as required
  • Shuttles vehicles in/around lot and to/from local aftermarket shops for specialty work such as leather repairs, glass replacement, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior detailing experience desired
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
  • Can operate a standard-transmission vehicle
  • Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills
  • An impressive work ethic
  • Neat, clean, and professional appearance
