Member Duties for this Volunteer Services Position : Ability to work alongside Habitat staff and volunteers as an AmeriCorps member while gaining valuable leadership and communication skills. This member will reach out to volunteers and coordinate dates and times on job sites. They will evaluate the volunteer experience and try to make our volunteer base more sustainable. Experience is not required but the ability to learn and work well with others is recommended. This member will recruit, organize and track volunteers.

AmeriCorps is like the domestic "Peace Corps" so you serve your country and community while making a difference in the lives of those needed affordable housing. *This is a service based AmeriCorps position therefore you are paid a living stipend for full time service of 40 hours of $16,500.00 per year. ***Offering a New Member Retention Bonus through June 1st***

New hires will be eligible for a retention bonus paid throughout service or upon completion of service (dependent on term length). This bonus is equivalent to 35% of the member service allowance amount.

*Benefits include: Living allowance, Training, Education award upon successful completion of service. Housing is not provided but a monthly reimbursement of $200 per month is issued toward rent or mortgage while serving full time. Health insurance is provided if serving full time. Childcare assistance is available for qualified candidates. Student loan deferment.
