POSITION SUMMARY:

The Volunteer Support Specialist is responsible for duties relating to the development and retention of volunteers and girl members. She/he provides leadership and support to train and recognize volunteers and girl members. She/he helps guide the direction of service units, and other volunteer committees. She/he will be responsible for volunteer and council support to the cookie program.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide council-wide support for programs.
• Develop, cultivate, and support relationships with community program partners that expands Girl Scout programming.
• Keep current on organizational knowledge and best practices by participating in GSUSA webinars, participating in Chatter groups, and utilizing gsConnect.
• Serve as a resource for current volunteers regarding council and GSUSA policies, procedures, safety, and paperwork questions.
• Active participation in the development of environments that foster diversity, equity, inclusion, and access through words, actions, and attitude.
• Performs other duties as necessary or assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Associate’s or higher, or 2 years of related experience
• Experience using customer management systems, Salesforce experience desired.

Pay: $37,000.00 per year
