Title: VP, Structured Finance
Reports to: CFO
Location: Seattle, Boulder, Madison, or Remote
FLSA Status: Exempt
Pay: $150K - 230K, determined by experience, education, and location of final candidate
About the Position:
The Vice President, Structured Finance will lead project finance structuring, negotiations, and execution, as well as oversee project finance modeling to evaluate, price, and advance solar development projects. This leader will build out a scalable structured finance function at OneEnergy, cultivating the team, tools, and process to support OneEnergy's transformational growth in operational asset ownership.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead project financial structuring. Initiate, structure, negotiate and close project financings, including construction debt, warehouse debt, term debt, and tax equity
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with financing parties, including tax equity investors, lenders, project investors and others
- Manage due diligence processes
- Responsible for the integrity of project finance modeling in support of investment committee decision making.
- Enhance and maintain cross-functional workstreams in support of project finance modeling and investment committee approval requests
- Drive continuous improvement process for project pricing strategy by systematically tracking and analyzing bid data, leveraging GRID, OneEnergy's proprietary information system
- Design, establish, and maintain organizational structure and systems to effectively accomplish the department's goals and objectives.
- Promote a culture of innovation by continuously challenging staff to pursue process improvement initiatives, automation enhancements and idea generation, to ensure transactions are being run optimally.
- Promote knowledge transfer and training with respect to tax equity outlook, financial market considerations, and project finance strategies
- Provide leadership and direction to staff and foster development of employees and teams.
- Evaluate acquisition opportunities
- Prepare presentation materials for project and corporate stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, preferably with an MBA or CPA.
- 7-10 years' experience in progressively responsible financial leadership roles in the renewable energy, real estate development, construction, or related industry.
- Proven track record of leading successful transactions and closings under tight deadlines
- Self-motivated with proven ability to take ownership, initiative, and accountability
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills with ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization
- Strong relationship management and negotiating skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Expertise in financial modeling
- Demonstrated qualities of integrity and credibility
- Strong problem solving and creative skills
