Currency Transaction Reporting Analyst

JOB SUMMARY:

This colleague is responsible for providing day-to-day compliance support. Key responsibilities include processing of forms W8, W9 102-S, 1099 and Currency Transaction Reporting. Additionally, this colleague will oversee multiple regulatory functions and operational processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Processing Currency Transaction Reports which include researching, verifying and evaluating transactions to determine if a currency transaction report is warranted to comply with the Financial Enforcement Network (FinCEN) regulatory requirements.

· Processing of Forms W-9, processing U.S. Department of Treasury check reclamations, invoking and releasing IRS backup withholding on deposit accounts and monitoring IRS B and C notices.

· Thoroughly complete all incoming W8 forms.

· Establishes and maintains case files and obtains required documentation.

· Monitors and follows up on open cases with the internal or external stakeholders.

· Attends internal and external meetings, seminars, workshops, etc. to expand professional expertise.

· Partners with business units to remediate compliance findings identified in internal and external examinations.

· Identifies and addresses compliance training needs by partnering with business areas and Compliance Training Manager.

· Integrates activities with other departments to accomplish common goals.

· Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Bank policies, procedures, and industry best practices.

· Handles more complex cases requiring more independent judgment within prescribed guidelines and parameters.

· Works independently to prioritize and complete multiple activities; resolves problems as they arise.
Must be able to verbally communicate the outcome to any level of management

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• CTR analysis: 2 years (Preferred)
• Banking: 2 years (Preferred)
