Position Summary:
The Carle Medical Supply (CMS) Materials Management Assistant assists in materials management functions including: stocking, shipping, receiving, pricing, cleaning, rental equipment asset tracking, and general building maintenance. Performs all cleaning, disinfecting, and routine preventive maintenance on selected rental equipment.

Carle forklift certification training required within 90 days.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Ability to use computer and calculator. Familiar with universal precautions, infection control procedures, UPS and common carrier operations.
Essential Functions:
- Assists with customer service and provides delivery assistance when necessary.
- Monitors rental equipment in "patient ready areas" and tags additional rental equipment when necessary.
- Performs monthly vehicle inspections for the Urbana branch.
- Processes rental/capital equipment through dirty, cleaning, testing, and storage areas.
- Provides routine building maintenance such as temperature logs, fire extinguisher inspections, and washing machine maintenance.
- Provides surveillance on all rental/capital equipment to ensure equipment is not sent out to new customers until picked up in computer database from previous customers.
- Performs and understands testing requirements for all rental/capital equipment.
- Assists in maintaining current product prices on all inventory of Dezine system.
- Assists in receiving, pricing, and stocking for three branches.
- Processes outgoing customer shipments on a daily basis.
- Assists in general inventory control practices.
- Monitors leased rental equipment for returning to lessor to perform maintenance requirements.
