Job description
We are looking for a warehouse worker to participate in our warehouse operations and activities. Warehouse worker responsibilities include storing materials, picking, packing and scanning/receiving orders. There will also be occasions where your time will be spent inside our retail location (two doors down from the warehouse) helping in a number of ways (stocking, organizing, cleaning and at times helping customers) The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction as we continue to service our community & beyond.
Responsibilities
- Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store, put in to stock)
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
- Report any discrepancies
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
- Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
- On occasion, cut different types of wood for customers
- Accompany deliveries made to customers or on occasion go on your own
Skills (some but not all are prerequisites and can be taught)
- Proven working experience as a warehouse worker
- Proficiency in inventory software, databases and systems
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Current forklift license
- Clean driver's license
- High school degree
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $29,000.00 - $34,000.00 per year
