About this opportunity

As a part of establishing a Smart Factory within the U.S., we are now looking for a Warehouse Shift Manager to be the first line support for leading shift supervisors and their team supporting production demand. Crucial aspects of the role are managing the warehouse supervisory team, the execution of the day-to-day warehouse operations to support production, the movement of materials, and shipment of radios. The ideal candidate for this role is someone with a demonstrated track record of leading a supervisory team, directing workflow, improving processes, and preventing disruption of the internal and external supply chain. This individual must have experience working with teams and facilitating interdepartmental collaboration. Supervisory responsibilities include managing the following areas: receiving, Kanban delivery, shipping, interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance; addressing employee complaints and solving problems.

What you will do

  • Ensure that shift work schedules are correctly implemented and that duties are assigned properly
  • Coordinate and lead supervisory teams in the execution of day-to-day operational targets and goals
  • Collaborate with incident management teams toward the resolution of training gaps, continuous improvement efforts, and process violations
  • Actively engage with employees to improve metric performance and retention, and maintain effective working relationships with peers and support teams
  • Work as the day-to-day conduit among production, project management, engineering, quality, SCM, and OPEX to facilitate efficiency and continuous improvement activity
  • Anticipate and track operational and tactical issues, and provide strategic solutions
  • Manage daily business operations including but not limited to daily order processing, systems management, warehouse execution (shipping/receiving/organization), and sku management for inventory
  • Other duties may be assigned to support warehouse operations

You will bring

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in leading teams and supervising productivity & operational output
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Adept at multi-tasking and work prioritization; thrives in an environment of rapid change
  • Positive conflict resolution and change management skills
  • Strong abilities in problem identification and resolution
  • Experience working with mid-to-senior level managers and within large organizational structures
  • Solid relationship building skills and consistent follow-through

Ideal Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong Microsoft Office capabilities (Power Point, Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong understanding of process improvement in Lean Six Sigma or other comparable methodology
