Job description

A Warehouse Specialist is responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, documenting, maintaining, and updating records. This role will count materials, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock and report discrepancies between physical counts and documented records. Additionally, this role is responsible for ensuring other departments are sufficiently stocked with materials for production, processing daily returns, and maintaining a neat and orderly warehouse.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

· Perform cycle counts, monthly and annual inventories.

· Unloading deliveries from trucks

· Inspecting deliveries to ensure they match order and invoice criteria.

· Processing and documenting Return transactions.

· Maintaining a neat and orderly warehouse.

· Maintaining logs of all products and supplies.

· Meet daily goals as outlined by Department Manager/Supervisor.

· Follow all company policies and address issues following appropriate chain of command.

· Complete other duties, as assigned by Management.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

· Proactive and autonomous. (ability to work independently with minimal supervision)

· Ability to operate pallet jacks, carts, and other warehouse equipment.

· Ability to walk throughout the building for 6 - 8 hr period (downtime will include two 15 min breaks and one 30-minute lunch)

· Ability to comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety standards.

Education Requirements

· This is an entry level position. No experience necessary. A high school diploma or equivalent is desired.

Minimum Job Qualifications (unless otherwise noted):

· Ability to multitask.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office products

· Ability to perform with a team to achieve daily goals and complete tasks.

· Reliability regarding attendance M-F and arrive to work on-time.

Physical & Environmental Requirements:

· Fast-paced, high-volume professional production/warehouse environment with frequent interruptions.

· Constant standing/walking

· Heavy Lifting (50lbs or more)

· Proficient use of office equipment: computers, copiers, fax machines and telephones

· Ability to communicate effectively via spoken, written and electronic means
