DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY

Regular Hours: M-F; 2nd shift 1:30-10:00 pm

PRIMARY PURPOSE
The primary purpose of the Warehouse Floor Supervisor is to provide direction and leadership for shipping & receiving activities to achieve safety and on-time delivery goals. They are the subject matter expert for warehouse processes and provide training to warehouse associates. Under the direction of the Logistics & Warehouse Operations Manager, they oversee available resources and lead associates to perform all departmental tasks in the most cost effective manner while ensuring a quality product is processed according to schedule. Ensures proper use of all personnel systems and adherence to all regulatory requirements placed on our Sales Operations. Supports company strategic plan along with the company’s mission, vision and values.

YOUR NUMBERS
For each position, company utilizes a few critical metrics to drive success and provide clarity in decision-making. The critical few metrics for this position are:
1) On Time Shipping: All Priority Orders are shipped by the designated due date
2) Inventory Accuracy is >99.75%: Conduct daily cycle counts and ensure inventory accuracy
3) Receiving Backlog 48 hours: 3rd Party Products (3PP) and Consignment Replenishment (CR) receipts are process in B1 within 48 hours of physical receipt.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Logistics & Warehouse Operations Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily cycle-counting efforts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Manage housekeeping tasks to ensure that the warehouse is kept organized daily.
  • Manage communication with internal customers to ensure timely shipping of parts to minimize customer disappointments.
  • Embrace and implement 6S Lean management principles and drive Lean Daily Management System (LDMS) Cadence to achieve operational excellence throughout warehouse operations.
  • Execute on established metrics and goals
  • Oversee Shipping & Receiving workload schedule and assign work accordingly
  • Supervise daily escalation and problem solving, including support resources
  • Address and resolve associate needs and questions as they relate to Warehouse Operations
  • Conduct daily group huddles
  • Align activities to company vision, mission, values, strategies and goals.
  • Adapt to changes in circumstances, direction, strategy, and work environment
  • Develop yourself through external and internal training, continuing education, and job rotation, wherever relevant.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Interview, hire, and train new staff in the department.
  • Oversee the efficient and effective daily operations of the department.
  • Administer associate operations to ensure basic workstation needs, payroll, vacation planning, training, safety, and operational process control.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual performance conversations with all associates that include a review of department goals, current metrics, and the associates’ customized training plan in relation to the requirements of the position description and department.
  • Promote technical, interpersonal, and educational development of associates through formal training programs, on-the-job training, rotational assignments, and continuous learning opportunities wherever possible.
  • Monitor and incentivize associate performance, providing ongoing verbal and written feedback.
  • Provide evidence-based written communication of performance or behavior concerns as necessary to ensure fair and transparent supervision of staff.
  • Maintain fair and consistent application of all company policies and procedures
  • Translate company goals, expectations, and communications so that associates clearly understand and feel motivated to align with them
  • Resolve conflicts and associate concerns through appropriate techniques and channels of communication

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
Required: High School Diploma
Preferred: Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

WORK EXPERIENCE
Required:

  • One year supervisory or leadership experience required (Two years preferred)
  • Three years hands-on experience in a Warehouse position

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Proficient in applicable computer skills (MS Office suite, MS Outlook, Zoom Chat/Video, online portals, ERP business systems)
  • Ability to organize, plan, and schedule tasks to streamline operations
  • Ability to learn a new business system(SAP) and become a subject matter expert for warehouse related operations
  • Ability to set priorities and balance the needs of competing demands on the team’s time
  • Ability to learn features and benefits of multiple product families, with an attention to details
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with associates from diverse backgrounds, at all levels of management and functional areas, and with a variety of customers
  • Ability to engender focus, cooperation, and productivity in their team
  • Strong leadership, supervision, and staff development.
  • Knowledge and practical implementation of Lean, Six Sigma and/or other process improvement methodology.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to schedule 3rd party delivery services. Ex. Couriers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

  • Warehouse experience: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Warehouse Leadership: 2 years (Preferred)
