JOB SUMMARY:

Coastal Greenhouses, LLC is a wholesale greenhouse that provides a wide variety of plants to the Top Retailers in the country. Our company has multiple growing facilities in Long Island, New Jersey and South Carolina. We proudly and successfully provide Annuals, Perennials, Vegetables and Roses to our customers on the Northeast Coast from CT to South Carolina.

We are currently looking for a Warehouse Supervisors to assist operations at our Calverton, New York growing facility. The Warehouse Supervisors job responsibilities include but are not limited to; organizing daily jobs, managing key employees and monitoring weekly labor hours and completing tasks in timely manner. This job requires direct supervision of key employees for the daily execution of jobs from production to final sale. The Warehouse Supervisors role is to build an efficient team to ensure jobs are completed in timely manner. The Labor Manager reports to the Operation Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Plan daily/weekly staffing needs.

· Hire and train all staff.

· Manage all employees; motivate, lead, teach, retrain, terminate when required.

·Perform new hire orientations and ongoing company training for all new hires and existing employees.

· Foster healthy work environment and address all work grievances.

· Create and enforce disciplinary procedures.

·Communicate effectively with all levels of company management team.

· Work collaboratively with management team.

·Ensure company standards of quality plants, cleaniness, and safe environment are adhered to.

·Evaluate and track labor skill sets.

·Monitor labor force performance for promotion opportunities and new hire success.

·Monitor labor schedules for OT.

· Work with management and safety team to avoid injuries.

·Other duties as assigned or needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

3+ years in a Supervisory. Candidates must be able to work independently in a fast paced environment. Must have excellent time management, exemplary communication skills, ability to multi-task, and be flexible and open to change. Fluent in Spanish.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
