Job Function Summary:
Main task: Ensure an excellent warehouse performance measured in WFRL, CRO, DUC, productivity, etc. according to Policy Deployment
Manage assigned staff
Strive for continuous improvement following the Lean Principles
Ensure the compliance with national and company Quality, Health & Safety rules on site

Major Areas of Accountability

Develop and improve warehouse processes
Ensure cost optimization and cost competitiveness compared to third parties
Ensure the compliance with national and company Health & Safety and ISO expectations
Organize and supervise the functions of assigned areas for maximum efficiency
Optimize the storage space and material flow using warehousing practicing – proper warehouse space utilization, slotting, and inventory management
Ensure stock integrity in compliance with rules set by Logistics
Develop and Implement Distribution Best Practices
Adapt the warehouse housekeeping according to requirements
Oversee, organize and supervise US Kitting and Endo operations

People Management

Deploy and manage direct reporting staff
Manage training for new hires, and propose training as necessary for existing employees to ensure appropriate skill level is maintained
Ensure employee development and morale is a key focus

Budgeting & Costs

Contribute to business case calculations on request
Monitor costs and investments; identify potential overspend and propose corrective actions
Ensure that cost related procedures are following Corporate policies and local rules

Innovation

Ensure continuous improvement process using Lean applications/tools
Participate in various projects as advised by the direct Manager
Identify and develop detailed concepts for operational improvements

Sustain Quality & Performance

Have a customer focused approach to distribution quality and service.
Report selected KPIs with the Policy Deployment process
Ensure and control quality and performance of assigned area
Support carrier management as appropriate for role
Ensure the compliance of updated work instructions / SOP’s

Safety / Sanitation / Security

Review assigned operational areas daily to ensure the distribution center is neat and well organized and that damage to product, equipment and facility is prevented.
Ensure that all safety procedures and policies are followed.
Operate in compliance with OSHA, FDA and other appropriate standards

Job Qualifications

Experience in warehouse operation
High school diploma, Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
Experience in managing people
Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems
Fluent command of English language in speaking and writing
Excellent communication skills
Cross-cultural skills

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Excellent written & oral communication skills
Ability to multi-task
Ability to organize efficiently and effectively
Ability to exercise logical and sound judgment
Ability to work independently
Willingness to be on call for emergencies
Proficient skills using MS Office Suite (MS Excel, Project, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)
