Tropical Shipping is seeking a Warehouse Associate-Dayshift to join our team of professionals at our West Palm Beach, Florida location!

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, accountability, a solid work ethic and commitment to excellence.
This role is responsible for inspecting and receiving cargo on main floor, UPS, Yard & Ramp. Operates forklift as part of receiving, stripping, or put away processes. Puts cargo in the proper location and documents that transaction properly in the warehouse management system.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Receives cargo
- Verifies and documents count
- Ensures cargo matches description on the carriers freight bill
- Verifying and documenting cargo condition
- Properly noting discrepancies on the delivery agent's paperwork
- Checks for proper hazardous material documents
- Signs the delivery receipt and accepts cargo in accordance with receiving process
- Performs other duties as required
Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience Requirements:
- Previous warehouse experience (preferred)
- Must be certified to operate Forklift (Required)
- Must have valid Driver's License
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to twist, bend, reach, squat, kneel, climb on equipment
- Push and/or pull 50 pounds
