The Weekend Shipping Manager (Friday - Monday 6:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.) position demands a highly organized personality, and our ideal candidate has considerable prior professional experience in warehouse management, shipping, and logistics.
Responsibilities
- Verify all incoming merchandise and ensure proper storage and documentation.
- Motivating, supporting, and supplying guidance to production staff.
- Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident-free.
- Communicating regularly with upper management about problems or issues affecting production.
- Evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime.
- Oversee shipping processes, directing teams whenever necessary.
- Maintain precise and correct documentation of existing inventory and shipped goods.
- Identify areas for improvement, particularly in workplace efficiency.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive workplace.
Qualifications
- At least five years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse management, including experience in a leadership or supervisory position.
- Effective communication and organizational skills and excellent multitasking abilities.
- Close diligence and moderate computer ability.
Physical Demands
- Weekend Shipping Manager must be very comfortable with standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
- Must be able to lift and or move items over 30 pounds.
