Weekend On Call Registered Nurse:

The weekend on call RN will be required to be on call from 5pm Friday through Monday at 9am and will work an 8 hour shift (daylight) on Friday. This will be considered a full time (40 hour per week) position. Routine and on call visits will be expected of this individual. Responsibilities may include:
Assess and chart observations of the patient's condition at each visit

• Complete evaluation tasks, including reviewing medication and vital signs
• Administer Physician-prescribed medication
• Dress or redress wounds and assess the healing progress
• Provide education to patients and families on proper hospice care procedures and strategies
• Keep the patient comfortable through palliative care and through the dying process
• Recommend tools or devices that may improve the quality of life for the patient
• Perform Admission and comprehensive assessments on patients.

Requirements for this position include:

• Minimum of an associate's degree or equivalent in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
• RN license.
• 1 year of Nursing experience
• Valid driver's license, car insurance and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel throughout assigned service area which will include Ebensburg, Johnstown, Indiana, Northern Cambria and the surrounding areas.
