Wellness Associate
Under the guidance of the Wellness Director and Liberty Center Manager, the Wellness Associate is responsible for guiding members through the Wellness Center. The associate will be aware of the physical, mental and spiritual state of the participant and assist them in making healthy lifestyle changes. The role of the associate is to assist members through this process by providing personalized attention, support, and motivation. You will also be responsible for appearance and stocking of the Wellness Center.
Hours: Saturday 5:30am to 8:00am Sunday 5:30am to 2:00pm
Wage: $12 per hour

Qualifications:
- Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or actively pursuing an equivalent.
- Be a sensitive, patient and conscientious leader with good knowledge in behavior change principles.
- Must have excellent communication and listening skills
- Have knowledge in health and fitness principles.
- Have management skills and the knowledge of basic record keeping are.
- Be able to meet the following physical requirements including, but are not limited to, sitting, and standing, climbing, bending and lifting 50lbs.
- Be a YMCA Certified Personal Trainer or must acquire the training within 6 months of employment.
- Demonstrate friendliness and tact while maintaining safety.
- Have knowledge and experience in safety prevention and procedures.
- Be passionate about the YMCA mission and vision and must personally advocate and demonstrate the core values of honesty, respect, responsibility and caring.
- Have CPR and First aid certification prior to or within 60 days of hire.
