Wholesale Coffee Account Manager Job Details:

  • Present new items, marketing materials, set schematics, and advertisements to clients and prospects promoting the use of our product lines; all tasks relating to the selling of product
  • Identify opportunities for and promote market penetration of new product lines
  • Identify prospects and pursue new client prospects
  • Spends 90% or more of the time outside the office in route and sales calls
  • Independently secure, service, and retain client account commitments
  • Achieve and maintain account attainment and retention goals
  • Effectively pre-plan sales efforts
  • Execute monthly and special Sales programs
  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing accounts
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
  • Responsiveness to business and customer needs
  • Oversee new accounts to ensure that the Dawson Taylor program is implemented to company standards and that customer needs have been met.
  • Run sales reports weekly to watch key changes in customers and react quickly to those changes.
  • Present weekly report to the Head of Sales reporting actual sales to budgeted sales for the current month.
  • Manage Inventory to ensure product standards are met and inventory controls are followed
  • Pre-sell and deliver sold product and specials accurately at designated accounts across all business channels
  • Clean/wipe down brewers at account locations every delivery
  • Clean air pots for accounts on a quarterly basis at minimum
  • Deep clean grocery displays monthly or more often as needed
  • Schedule service calls if necessary
  • Effectively communicate with Head of Sales and other Sales staff
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
  • Committed to continuous education through books, videos, and conferences
  • Seek to continually expand knowledge in specialty coffee, tea, and hospitality – use that knowledge to inspire passion and interest in our coffee program across all stakeholders
  • Culture: Participate in an inclusive and quality-focused culture, utilizing thoughtful communication as a guidepost for fellow team members, customers, and consumers.


Job Qualifications:

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have an acceptable driving record
  • Must be able to drive multiple hours at a time with stops up to 35 times a day with travel from warehouse, office, outdoor and retail environments.
