Wholesale Sales Professional & Warehouse Support, Supply Department

Position Overview:

Bay State Farm Direct Flowers has a wonderful opportunity for a highly motivated individual who wishes to join our Sales Team in Wilmington, MA. Ideal candidates will have retail floral industry knowledge, understand the needs of our retail customers, build relationships with customers and drive sales results. Wholesale Floral or Retail Floral experience is preferred but we will train the right candidate. We offer competitive compensation and benefits commensurate with your experience.

Job Requirements:

• 3+ years of sales experience in the floral industry, retail or wholesale preferred
• Vast knowledge of floral products, including their seasonality
• Business to Business floral sales, including cold calling
• Schedule: Monday – Friday including weekend rotation. 6am starting time.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience with Great Plains POS system a benefit.
• Report to Supply Manager
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more.

DUTIES:

• Wholesale Floral Supply Sales. Develop customer relationships. Grow sales. Acquire new customers. Maintain existing customers
• Processing customer orders in Great Plains POS system
• Responsible for calling customers daily
• Order picking, packing, and display.
• Read customer orders to determine items to be gathered, packed, and either shipped, delivered, or picked up.
• Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.
• Assist in counting of physical inventory.
• May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
• Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
• Assist with product quality control, rotation, and inventory
• Accurate inventory reporting
• Warehouse support, including receiving product, restocking shelves, etc

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Experience:

• Retail sales: 1 year (Preferred)
• Merchandising: 1 year (Preferred)
• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
