JOB DESCRITION

Position: Wire Harness Manufacture

Duration: Temp

Industry: Automotive Manufacturing

Payrate: $25 an hour $40 per diem

Shift: Open........40 hours a week with possible overtime

The job is to accurately manufacture wire harnesses for use in motor vehicles. A wide variety of combinations are manufactured, so attention to detail is absolutely critical. A brief outline of the process:

o Quickly determine the correct color sequence for the part being produced

o Strip the plastic sheath off the end of the wires at prescribed location

o Fully insert all wires into the correct slots of the harness

o Use the crimper (manual or automatic depending on customer) to ensure the wires are properly connected inside the harness

o Perform a quick visual inspection

If the color sequence is incorrect, or the wires not fully inserted, the part will fail. However, this will not be caught until much further down the assembly line, which will cause production delays while the harness is then switched out. Experience in the following will be considered helpful:

o High paced production line

o Automotive assembly

o Assembly requiring a high degree of manual dexterity

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $25.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• Overnight shift
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Tuscaloosa, AL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
