WordPress Web Designer

Veritas Association Management is seeking a Website Designer to build and maintain the (primarily Divi-based WordPress) websites of Veritas and its clients. This individual is responsible for all content management and frontend design.

Working closely with each client’s interdepartmental support team, they ensure website content is kept up to date. They also coordinate with members of the digital marketing and graphic design teams to ensure each website aligns with the content, messaging, and branding of other digital marketing channels.

The ideal candidate for this role possesses strong knowledge of HTML and CSS, a good eye for design, strong content management skills, and can create attractive, user-friendly websites that fulfill the unique needs of each client.

This position reports to the Vice President of Marketing and Specialty Meetings.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Design and build Divi-based websites that adhere to UI, UX, and SEO best practices and guidelines.

· Update website content and design as requested.

· Manage and maintain hosting and domain registration.

· Monitor and regularly report on website performance using customary reporting tools and metrics.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

· 2-3 years’ experience developing WordPress-based, responsive websites (preferably Divi template)

· Ability to convert wireframes and sitemaps into functional HTML pages

· Expert understanding of HTML, CSS; able to manipulate them to achieve desired design and functionality

· Understanding of latest SEO trends and best practices

· Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google Data Studio; able to build reports, interpret data, and make recommendations based on findings

· Adaptable, able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Compensation & Benefits

This is a full-time, salaried position. Standard working hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM CT, with occasional nights and weekends as needed for event operations.
