Position: Wrapper Operator
Job Type: Full-Time
OVERALL JOB PURPOSE
Headquartered in Henderson, Nevada, ProCaps Laboratories a leading provider of additive-free vitamin supplements is looking for a Wrapper Operator. You’ll be responsible for the proper operations of the automatic product flow wrapping equipment. Ensure the equipment is operating properly, running at the correct throughput speed with proper sealing, coding and meeting all quality standards. Must be able to set-up and break down equipment for product, film and allergen wash/changeover.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 year working in a food manufacturing environment
• Basic understanding of food manufacturing processes, tools and machines
• Must be able to understand and perform following directions given, understand Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and maintain high quality workmanship
• Ability to effectively communicate to employees in various positions and at all levels
• Must be willing to work overtime or on weekends, as the workload demands

OTHER ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Requires the learning and operating of the flow wrapping machine along with supporting machinery and controls. Must be able to disassemble and reassemble equipment
• Adjust machine components according to film and product needs
• Regulate machine speed and temperature to ensure consistent and efficient bar wrapping
• Visually inspect the machine as it is running to verify that it is running within normal operating parameters
• Inspect and remove defective product and materials
• Prior to rollstock change, inspect rollstock product I.D., lot number and allergens before use
• Complete all quality checks as required
• Maintain machine in reasonably clean condition during the production run
• Make sure all paperwork, documenting the production run, is complete and accurate
• Work in accordance with the established policies and procedures to maintain a clean/safe working environment within the facility and property surrounding the building
• Meet or exceed daily production requirements as set by the production schedule
• Perform other job duties and responsibilities, as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work occasionally near mechanical parts and energized equipment which may produce moderate to high level of noise
• Duties are performed primarily in a smoke-free manufacturing environment
