POSITION SUMMARY:
The Youth Education and Intervention Services Clerk provides administrative and clerical support to the Community Restorative Circles, Teen Court, School Truancy and Diversion programs. Provides customer service and directs parties to appropriate departments. Completes data entry and maintains several databases. Performs a variety of tasks as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides administrative support to various programs (e.g. answers phones, copies, files, manages calendars.)
2. Provides customer service to the youth, families, general public, volunteers who interact with Diversion, Teen Court, Community Restorative Circles and School Truancy liaisons.
3. Acts as a liaison between the Court, community resources, community partners and treatment providers
4. Assists in the processing of referrals, screening of potential volunteers and scheduling.
5. Provides administrative support to the Community Restorative Circles and Teen Court; arranges meetings, composes correspondence, types and creates a variety of documents and reports of a confidential and/or sensitive nature from rough drafts and dictations.
6. Prepares documents and case files for weekly CRC meetings and Teen Court hearings.
7. Maintains files, completes data entry and maintains databases for Teen Court, CRC and School Truancy.
8. Coordinates and administers weekly Teen Court and CRC docket and ensures cases are properly scheduled.
9. Makes copies and prepares files for Teen Court and CRC cases. Files Teen Court and CRC paperwork.
10. Travels to, attends, and assists Teen Court and CRC Coordinators with plan/sentencing hearings, community circles and orientation trainings.
11. Performs other duties as assigned
