  • Manage employee benefit programs for employer groups that are fully insured and self-funded. Provide trustworthy guidance regarding the operation of their employee benefit plan
  • Perform market analysis to ensure best solutions and pricing are in place. This assistance includes the RFP process, carrier negotiations, funding recommendations, proposal preparation, and final recommendations
  • Prepare and deliver plan performance reports to clients regularly
  • Identify and address client needs and opportunities. Recommend and implement innovative programs, products, or carriers when appropriate
  • Provide guidance and tools to clients to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Complete and submit all carrier implementation paperwork. Manage the process to ensure timely processing
  • Maintain knowledge of all market sizes and funding options
  • Develop and maintain relationships with carrier representatives
  • Establish and maintain knowledge of carrier products and operation
  • Maintain internal client database
  • All other duties as required or requested

Experience:

  • 5+yrs of managing employee benefit programs
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business related field and/or equivalent education and experience
  • Possess Life and Health License
  • Set priorities and manage workflow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate completion of responsibilities
  • Interact with others effectively by utilizing effective communication skills, cooperating purposefully and providing information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the business goals of the agency
  • Critical thinking and good judgment to quickly determine and prioritize key issues
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of the Affordable Care Act
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, proficient in Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; including attentive listener and willingness to take initiative
  • Ability to travel approximately 15% of time, or less
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license, and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report
