Position Overview:
The accountant will carry out the proper accounting of all business cases for all companies within the responsibility of the Shared Service Center Americas according to legal, commercial and tax requirements.
Responsibilities Would Include:
Accounting:
- Proper accounts payable and receivable, fixed asset and financial accounting according to legal, commercial and tax legislation and existing company guidelines
- Checking, entering and posting receipts and business transactions
- First level support for external auditors
- Applying relevant accounting and reporting standards
Accounts payable:
- Executing payment runs
- Processing supplier reminders
- Posting incoming invoices
- Managing and processing other activities, such as company credit card/fuel card billing
Accounts receivable:
- Checking and posting received payments
- Checking outstanding payments (sending reminders, proactive calls, debt collection)
- Assisting with credit management
- Supporting sales with issues relating to accounts receivable (e.g. debt collection, credit management)
Assets accounting:
- Carrying out assets accounting and entering increases and decreases, incl. assessing the valuations
- Identifying and entering ordinary and extraordinary depreciation
- Managing asset inventory and doing relevant postings
Financial accounting:
- Carrying out time accrual/deferral of business transactions
- Entering allocations to other companies of the Plansee Group
- Checking the balance sheet and income statement each month
Monthly and annual financial statements:
- Assisting with monthly and annual financial statements
Tax:
Sales and use tax:
- Sales tax consulting and supporting of new sales processes
- Report sales and use tax returns
- Handling the sales und use tax software
Corporate income tax:
- Preparation and filing of tax returns in coordination with the tax advisor
Transfer Pricing:
- Preparation of transfer pricing documentations
- Advice from a TP perspective and participation in the preparation of IC contracts
- Advice on TP questions
Project work and special topics:
- Collaborating on accounting and tax projects
- Modifying and optimizing processes with regard to efficiency and governance / compliance
Other:
- Carrying out and preparing analyses and reports (internal and external reports)
- Helping to prepare decision documentation
- Helping to control the implementation of requirements or specifications in certain business processes
- Maintaining the cash book and carrying out payments and receipts
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration with focus on accounting/tax law/controlling and several years of relevant professional experience
- Comprehensive deep and broad expertise
- Excellent knowledge of business administration and economics, accounting, international tax law, international accounting as well as special knowledge in these areas
- Competences in project management, process management, IT-application-knowledge
- Knowledge about business relations within the company/group
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35,235.54 - $89,733.66 per year
