Our Accountant I role will ensure the financial integrity of the reports and proper accounting for business units of Orkin, Inc. Present and deliver the financial reports in a quality and timely fashion to all internal customers. Work with the general ledger, maintain the accuracy of the P&L, and be a field coordinator.

You Will . . .

• Be responsible for the reconciliation of branch stand alone and consolidated bank accounts, credit cards and other miscellaneous balance sheet items.
• Perform research and respond to the field questions.
• Prepare monthly account analysis.
• Reconcile branch account receivables.
• Prepare journal entries and assist with the monthly close and other special projects as needed.
• Assist the Franchise Accounting Manager with royalty payments, reimbursements and other projects.

The Experience You Will Bring (Minimum Requirements):

• Four-year degree or equivalent accounting work experience.
• 2 years of relevant work experience
• Possess good verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
• Must be a team player, a self-starter and be able to multi-task
• Good organization skills, analytical skills, working knowledge of Excel, Access, 10 key ability and good customer service skills
• Working knowledge of JD Edwards or other ERP systems helpful
