GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Accounting Clerk is key member of the accounting team. The position is responsible for processing accounts payables and managing receivables for Summit Ag Investors and related entities as well as various other accounting tasks.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Transactions

• Processing of all invoices for Summit Ag Investors in a timely and accurate manner
• Ensure invoices have the appropriate coding and are paid by the responsible entity
• Review invoices to ensure the appropriate authority has been received to approve spending
• Maintain an organized file structure for all accounts payables files as well as appropriately archiving historical information

Vendor Management

• Ensure timely payment to all vendors to avoid finance charges
• Manage vendor information (i.e., collect W-9’s prior to payment, keep up to date vendor listing, update contact information, etc.)
• Monthly review and reconcile vendor statements and timely researching any discrepancies
• Assist with year end 1099 processes

Miscellaneous

• Research and provide documents for annual audit purposes
• Follow current SOPs for specific duties and responsibilities as well as tailoring existing processes to enhance efficiency within the department
• Special projects as needed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: *

• Experience with accounting/ERP softwares
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, or four years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Ability to manage time wisely and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to operate with a high level of confidentiality
• Highly detail oriented

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $9.79 - $29.97 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
