Vacation Village at Williamsburg is seeking a high-energy people-person to supervise Activities team members at our timeshare resort. This is a full-time permanent position. Hiring Bonus paid upon hire. This position is primarily responsible for ensuring an enjoyable and memorable experience by all guests of the Resort through implementing and contributing to the Resort’s Activities Program, as well as assuring the upkeep of Resort amenities. This position supervises the Activities team and their interaction with Owners and guests of all ages, and must project a fun-loving, but safe and responsible demeanor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads by example a team of resort activities attendants who share the common goal of exemplary customer service.
  • Supervises and/or staffs the Activities desk and Activities Center conducting workshops and planned activities, enrolling guests in tours and selling tickets as required, and/or by supervising others in these tasks.
  • Engages owners and guests and promotes on-site activities, services, and amenities as well as off-site attractions.
  • Registers participants, prepares and conducts the various activities outlined in the Activities Program.
  • Signs out sports equipment and monitors return of same
  • Monitors indoor and outdoor pool activities; signs out and receives pool towels
  • Performs periodic inspection of sports courts on property and reports deficiencies and safety issues immediately.
  • Maintains accurate records of financial transactions, tickets inventory, participation records
  • Assures accuracy of deposits; processes credit card payments using Square or similar payment processing system.
  • Provides the highest level of customer service by assisting guests and ensuring that any issues or challenges are addressed in a professional and timely manner.
  • Interacts with all departments (Maintenance, Grounds, Pools, Front Desk) to ensure all work orders are reported timely and to ensure the resort is adequately and safely maintained.
  • Demonstrates strong oral and written skills to communicate effectively; must demonstrate a kind, patient approach to working with guests and must require the same of his/her team members.
  • Must be able to multitask
  • Must be dependable; consistently present and punctual, and demonstrate a strong work ethic and personal integrity
  • Oversees the completion of all tasks on shift checklist
  • Maintains operations by following Daily Management policies and procedures
  • Maintains guest confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
  • Works harmoniously as a team with other Activities team members.
  • Adheres to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the company, including, but not limited to, those contained in the Team Member Handbook.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by management.

Education and/or Experience:

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); with at least one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Hospitality industry experience highly preferred.

The associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Managerial Responsibilities: This position supervises a team of Activities Attendants.
