The nationally recognized Selected Independent firm, Harrell Funeral Home, is looking to expand our team. We consider our staff our most valuable asset. The primary role of this position is to make sure customers contacting our funeral home feel welcomed and comforted during every call. The position is scheduled to work weekends, Saturday and Sunday, from 8-5 p.m. There could be flexibility to include one more work day on Friday or Monday.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers in person and over the phone, so they feel welcomed and comforted every time. Desire to answer the telephone with empathy/compassion
  • Listen attentively to customer questions and refer them to the appropriate person when necessary
  • Record information when a new customer is onboarding
  • Provide general information to price shoppers on services offered and connect in a way that exceeds callers' expectations
  • Help guests attending services "feel we care" and "at home"
  • Supports Funeral Directors by entering vital statistic data into the information system
  • Scan documents and close out files in various systems
  • Check digital memorials to ensure accuracy
  • Assist in creating service programs and memorial materials
  • Help families get connected with our aftercare support team
  • Assist staff with special projects
