The Town of Snowmass Village is looking to hire an Events Producer to join our Tourism Department!
Job Details:
- Events Producer hiring range: $70,946 - $83,362
- Events Producer position salary range: $70,946 - $95,777
- $1,000 sign-on bonus available!
We are looking for an Events Producer that will be responsible for helping to execute and deliver a varied roster of events to support the economic vitality that benefits Snowmass Village as a whole. The Events Producer will work with Snowmass Tourism team to conceptualize, select, plan and execute all special events organized by the department and its third-party contractors.
Some of the day-to-day duties are listed below:
- Evaluate and refine current portfolio and conceptualizes all components of events
- Provide direction, strategic insight, management oversight and onsite support for contractors and event promoters as they develop their operational plans; remove obstacles so they can get their jobs done efficiently.
- Ensure all events are properly permitted through TOSV event permit process. Participate and/or lead TOSV Special Events Review Committee processes and discussions to ensure all operational needs and requirements are met. Liaise with police, public works, transportation, legal, finance and other departments
- Work with Aspen Skiing Company, EastWest Partners and other stakeholders regarding the operational elements of all events impacting their business, land, resources, etc.
- Participate in MGS&SE Board’s Special Events Committee.
- Work with event producers and marketing to establish goals and measures for each event.
- Conducts team debrief meetings and develops formal wrap-up reports to assess programs, recommend enhancements and seek continuous improvement.
- Manage Skittles schedule and budget and coordinates directly with Aspen Skiing Company and GID.

The ideal candidate has the following qualifications/skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Minimum of four years of experience in event operations and sales
- Event planning and operational background with an emphasis on destination-oriented programs, ideally experienced in outdoor concerts and festivals and outdoor adventure sports categories
- Strong sales experience in securing event partners
- Established relationships with local, regional and national stakeholders and event producers
- Outstanding people skills and understand of group dynamics, differing opinions and personalities, and the ability to drive process through these challenges
- Flexibility and the ability to take initiative and thrive in a fun but sometimes strenuous environment with frequent and competing deadlines and multiple tasks.
