Position Summary:
The Theater Arts and Technology Program is seeking an Administrative Assistant II to provide various administrative support to the department.
Essential Functions:
- Lays out event budgets.
- Processes all budget indexes/accounts associated with THAT and the Music Initiative.
- Schedules theatre faculty meetings and follow-ups.
- Manage NJIT software upgrades.
- Generates artist, speaker, and royalty contracts.
- Sets up new vendors, coordinates and attends Open Houses as needed.
- Updates website, social media, and other communication outreaches, and PR needs for program and program recruitment.
- Runs all production house ushers and box office in-take.
- Creates outreach to all joint theatre alumni and coordinates any events.
- Coordinates film and streaming for PR and productions.
Additional Functions:
- Supervision and training of work-study students to promote events, house management, campus/es PR distributions of posters and all related needs.
- Adapts to changes in joint and stand-alone program events and maintains flexibility of schedule and tasks.
Prerequisite Qualifications:
- M.A./M.F.A. preferred. B.A. with three years of experience in production management or general experience in applied theatre and/or film.
- At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
