Position Summary


BASIC FUNCTION: Oversees all administrative functions of the Graduate Admissions office. Ensures that applicant files are completed and reviewed in a timely manner. Inputs file decisions and ensures that appropriate letters are generated and mailed. Counsels prospective students regarding file status. Welcomes students into the graduate office and manages the main graduate phone line and email account.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Counsels students on the phone or in person or through written correspondence regarding the status of their application for admissions.
  • Ensures that all completed files are reviewed by counseling staff.
  • Inputs the status of all applications received and records the admission decisions. Also records withdrawal and defer decisions.
  • Initiates a variety of correspondence based upon the individual file including merit awards.
  • Ensures student records are updated and accurate in SlideRoom, PeopleSoft, and Salesforce systems.
  • Inputs student visit information, ensures visit sign-up information is online and updated.
  • Welcomes students to the office, manages main admissions phone line and email inbox.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A combination of experience and education will be considered; Bachelor degree(art related discipline preferred).
  • Minimum 1 year experience in higher education enrollment setting.
  • Must have strong communication skills, and ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft, SlideRoom, and Salesforce preferred.
