Job Duties:

  • Executes the complete development cycle including identifying target markets, customers, and products, and aligning activities to achieve revenue growth per the plan. Assesses key decision-makers’ needs and develops a plan of action to meet customer needs with NN’s products and services.
  • Manages the on-going technical relationships. Stays current with market trends and understands how those will impact NN’s position in the market.
  • Is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the field of technical and commercial architectures for the Electric Vehicle market or sub-end market as well as the manufacturing processes needed to support them.
  • Grow sales revenue and operating margin in support of the annual business plan and operational objectives through proactive, consultative selling techniques.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with decision makers at the customer (engineering, purchasing, quality, and manufacturing) to influence their behavior towards NN business growth
  • Understand customer’s technical and business strategy, decision-making process, and customer culture to develop a path for managing early-stage projects and providing guidance needed in negotiating and closing new business opportunities.
  • Analyze and report on market trends, technical roadmaps, and process and product advancements through research, trade shows, and industry organizations events and published reports.
  • Cultivate new and existing customers that are aligned with target end markets and capabilities.
  • Develop a strategy to utilize a competitive approach to new business and produce business -case analysis materials for management review.
  • Support Sales Account Managers and other NN stakeholders regarding specific customer and product initiatives in conjunction with NN annual objectives
  • Participates in trade shows, as assigned, to promote company products and develop leads
  • Performs industry outlook and NN content/market share analysis, segment planning, and project planning. Provides information and reports, as required, to inform management of development progress and success.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s and/or Masters’ Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum of eight years of sales experience, preferably with knowledge of stamping, machining and injection molding processes that support EV systems and sub-systems.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in technical project management.
  • Expansive knowledge in electric vehicle systems and architecture.
  • Expert in standard Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Position requires 50-70% travel and will work from their home.
