BI-WEEKLY HIRING RANGE: $1,805 - $2,168 GRADE: 9 Non-Exempt

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Under the general supervision of the Airport Operations Supervisor, this position
performs operations and security coordination work for the Magic Valley Regional Airport. Work is performed within
established policies, procedures, and regulations. The principal duties of this positions are performed in a general office
environment; however, some occasional work is performed in an outdoor environment that may involve adverse weather
conditions and related hazards.
Operations/Security Coordinator duties 70%
- Performs regular self-inspections of the airfield and maintains a log of any discrepancies to maintain FAA
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with TSA regulations to ensure airport security;
- Maintains and updates the Airport Security Plan using independent research of the Code of Federal Regulations and
- Acts as airport liaison to the Twin Falls Police Department and the County Sheriff’s Department, TSA and other Sate
- Reports and supports investigations of incidents/accidents at the airport and interfaces with City, County, State, and
- In conjunction with airport operations staff, conducts security patrols and monitors the airport grounds and facilities
ensuing security and safety requirements are maintained;
• Responsible for operation of the vehicle gate/terminal door access control systems and CCTV systems;
- Performs audits of access media and key control and maintains reports required for local, state and federal
- Responds for citizens’ questions and comments in a courteous and timely manner;
- Communicates and coordinates regularly with appropriate others to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of
interdepartmental operations and activities.
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, high school diploma or GED equivalency, Associates
degree in Aviation Science, Law Enforcement, or Business preferred. Two (2) years of experience working in airport operations
or any combination of education and experience deemed satisfactory for the position.
SPECIAL QUALFICATIONS: Airport Security Coordinator certification within sixty (60) days of hire.
