Anatomic & Clinical Pathologist Lake Pointe

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Baylor Scott and White Health is seeking an Anatomic & Clinical Pathologist for our Rowlett, Texas location.. Fellowship training in hematopathology, cytopathology, GI pathology, Head and Neck or GU pathology is preferred.

Responsibilities will include practicing general anatomic pathology, including frozen sections and cytopathology adequacies. Clinical pathology duties will include review of peripheral smears and support for the blood bank when on call.

• Board Certified Pathologist with subspecialty training, experience preferred.
• Join an existing team of 7 pathologists covering this location and two other hospitals in the DFW area
• The expected work schedule is Monday- Friday with rotating evening and weekend call.
• Primary responsibilities in a 148 bed community hospital with an established and growing medical staff

The core clinical laboratories include Clinical Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Hemostasis, and Transfusion Medicine services. The Baylor Scott and White Pathology practice has pathologists in North and Central Texas locations with more than 40 Pathologists and PhDs who oversee operations at 15 Hospitals.

The pathologists in the Department of Pathology have opportunities for academic affiliation with the recently announced new Baylor College of Medicine Campus in Temple, Texas.

QUALIFICATIONS

MD or DO, doctorate degree in medicine

American Board of Pathology BC/BE Anatomic Clinical Pathology

Fellowship training in Cytopathology, GI Pathology or GU Pathology is preferred.

Able to obtain Texas medical license by start date
