Telework Information: This position is eligible for hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.
Our Disability & Survivor Benefits Division/Disability Retirement Unit/Special Programs Unit is currently seeking an Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) to act as an Appeals Analyst who completes the entire appeal process when a member is denied and is issued appeal rights.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Attend legal hearings and testify as a witness for CalPERS as a subject matter expert of disability retirement processes and procedures
- Work directly with the Legal Office, and process the disability appeal outcomes once the appeals are processed by the legal staff
- Act as a resource for the Disability Section on applying the California Public Employees' Retirement Law to cases, processes and procedures.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $5,518.00 - $6,907.00 per month
