Job description
Zynex Monitoring Solutions is seeking an Applied Mathematician with a strong background in digital signal processing to work with project teams in defining the need for mathematical/statistical/ algorithm development in any given project or process; generate mathematical analyses and algorithms; perform statistical analyses; perform experiments; and document research and development efforts.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Work requires advanced background in applied mathematics, specifically numerical analysis/methods, harmonic analysis, probability/statistics.
- An M.S. or Ph.D. in applied mathematics, statistics, digital signal processing (DSP), or related field, and a minimum of two years of design experience in a scientific or engineering environment.
- In-depth understanding in DSP and its applications and practice.
- A high level of proficiency in scientific programming in either MATLAB or Python and proficiency with C/C++ for embedded applications.
- Expertise in experimental design, data collection and exploratory data analysis/visualization.
- Understanding of basic electronics and data acquisition techniques.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and high level of proficiency in the English language.
- Fluency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Desired Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of basic electronics and data acquisition techniques.
Relevant Experience:
- Experience in mathematical algorithm development.
- Experience with modeling of physical systems.
- Background in anatomy, physiology, and/or medical science.
