Job Summary
Technical office and field work in the appraisal of real property. Position provides staff support to the Appraisal Supervisor while learning the fundamental principles, practices, and procedures in real property appraisal. Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Appraisal Supervisor. Position assists property owners and the general public with routine questions regarding appraisal procedures. This position performs field inspections of properties on a routine basis as part of the audit program.
Note: A basic math skills test will be conducted during the interview.

Requirements:
~ High School Diploma/GED
~ Must obtain GA Department of Revenue I Certification within 12 months of employment (obtaining certification will require successfully completing two Georgia Department of Revenue Training Courses and the Appraiser I Exam)
~ Must have the ability to pass a basic math/skills test
~ Must be computer literate with proficiency in MS Office Suite and Data Bases
~ Must have and maintain a valid United States Driver's License (Class C), a satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR) and the ability and willingness to drive a county vehicle; if assigned job duties require the use of a vehicle
~ Minimum 21 years of age

Employment is contingent on passing a mandatory Physical/Drug Screen/MVR and Background Investigation.

Salary:
Appraiser I $36.892.96- $61,921.81 annually ($17.73 - $29.77 hourly) plus full benefits package
Appraiser II $39,934.13- $68,267.92 annually ($19.20 - $32.82 hourly) plus full benefits package
