Key Responsibilities:*
- Coach and support retail staff
- On the floor leadership and composure during a rush
- Clear knowledge of all products offered by VCR
- Effectively communicate expectations to staff
- Provide and promote excellent customer service at all times
- Participate in the interview process
- Participate in planning and facilitating staff meetings
- Facilitate weekly/monthly inventory and ordering
- Cash handling operations
- Manager on Duty on the floor when the manager is not present
Specific Duties:
- Motivate team with positivity, and set the pace for speed and efficiency during shifts
- Take advantage of teachable moments that are presented
- Lead in store bar training, coffee education and be a model barista
- Uphold current standards and identify key areas of improvement
- Promote team work and excellent communication within the café
- Follow disciplinary protocol outlined in the VCR Employee Handbook
- Can interpret and understand weekly metrics
- Work with the Café Manager to ensure that all financial goals are being met
- Place weekly/monthly orders with vendors
- Manage and organize stock areas
- Ensure that daily side work and weekly projects are completed
Requirements:
- Inspirational leader
- Thrives in a fast paced environment
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to display advanced skills in leadership and communication
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Well organized and detail oriented
- Previous cash handling experience
- Must be positive, approachable and have the ability to work well with a team
- Logical and methodical approach to problem solving
- Flexible with the ability to multi-task in a highly demanding and sometimes stressful environment
- Able to give and receive constructive feedback in any given situation
- Available to work full-time, including some weekends and holidays
- CA Food Handler’s certificate required
- Microsoft Office proficient
- Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted and be able to stand for long periods at a time
Pay & Benefits:
- $18-$21/hr + Tips
