Under the direction of the Post Production Supervisor, the Assistant Editor will support Veyl Ventures across all brands. Responsibilities include ingesting, organizing, and maintaining all shot and stock material.

Responsibilities also include but are not limited to:

Essential Duties

• Transcode, ingest, apply LUTs, organize, group and sync footage
• Archive footage to external storage and cloud backups
• Log footage
• Light editing, such as stringouts
• Generate text assets, such as subtitles and graphics
• Occasionally on-set DIT
• Manage all necessary tracking documents, including tape lists and drive tracker.
• Export and encode all media for web postings and distributing links for cuts.

• Access to fast, dependable internet
• Own a computer powerful enough to run the newest versions of Adobe Creative Suite and able to handle batches of media transcoding
• Able to accept packages at home (hard drives)
• Must be a self starter, able to work independently
• This is a full time day position, but candidate should have the flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends if certain projects necessitate.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

This is a remote position. Incumbent must be able to sit at and navigate a computer workstation. May be required to utilize additional equipment and software to complete projects.
