As Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurants looks to double in size to 100 locations in the next five years, we are looking to hire a Manager to help elevate our upscale wine and food experience for our guests, while supporting the development of our Team Members into the future leaders of Cooper's Hawk.

Our Executive Kitchen Manager will lead, coach, and develop Managers, MIDs, and Team Members to create Community by living the Cooper’s Hawk values. Responsible for the overall success of the kitchen through financial, operational, and development goals. Partnering with the GM, the Executive Kitchen Manager ensures execution of the highest quality of food and service. Responsible for conducting weekly inventory. Sets and achieves both personal and team development goals. Focuses on driving standards of excellence and consistent business growth. Acts as a Cooper’s Hawk brand ambassador.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees overall kitchen operations
  • Responsible for coaching and development Kitchen Manager and Kitchen Supervisor performance
  • Adheres to policies and trains others on standard operating systems and procedures
  • Ensures collaboration between kitchen and front of house operations
  • Represents Cooper’s Hawk vision and values and creates a respectful, positive, and professional work environment
  • Oversees Kitchen systems, training, and leadership development:

o Conducts and oversees final Kitchen interviews

o Introduces and supervises the implementation of kitchen training materials to the team

o Ensures highly executed food quality, menu and system rollouts, and Kitchen initiatives

o Reviews and approves Kitchen schedules in a timely manner

o Responsible for labor execution and identifying staffing needs

o Retains Kitchen Managers, MIDs and Team Members

  • Maintains consistent and high quality food, safety, sanitation, and facility standards
  • Leads Kitchen Community meetings based on the Cooper’s Hawk values, open communication, and an inspiring approach with the team
  • Demonstrates depth of knowledge in food quality and recipes
  • Responsible for achieving monthly financial metrics in and involving Kitchen Managers to achieve results
  • Responsible for weekly food inventory and associated results
  • Effectively utilizes computer systems and other technologies
  • Must follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures

IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-3 years of Executive Kitchen Management experience in high volume, full service restaurant
  • Scratch kitchen experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English
  • Demonstrates financial acumen
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Preferred certifications include ServSafe and state/local licensing requirements
  • Extensive food knowledge and quality standards
  • Scratch kitchen experience preferred
  • A minimum age requirement of 21 years
