Job description
Assists the Health Officer in recommending local health policies and programs.
Conducts relevant sanitary, environment and public health inspections.
Plans and directs the measures required to control and prevent communicable diseases.
In consultation with the Health Officer directs and coordinates the inspection, investigation, legal and other measures required by local and state health laws.
Performs other duties or special projects as required or assigned.
Responsibilities also require that the applicant possess excellent written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to learn to use various types of manual and/or electronic data systems used within the department.
REQUIREMENTS:
Valid Health Officer License issued by the New Jersey Department of Health and a driver's license valid in NJ.
Supervisory experience required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 per year
