De La Terre is an upscale, modern French BYOB located in the heart of historic Downingtown, Pennsylvania. De La Terre means from the earth so our menus are constantly changing with the seasons and what the land has to offer. We work closely with local farmers, foragers, and artisans to sustainably source our ingredients for peak flavor and freshness to incorporate into our À la carte and tasting menus. We are looking for an experienced leader to add to our team that possess a strong work ethic and a passion for fine dining and excellent customer service.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

• Anticipate and accommodate the needs of our guests
• Responsible for front-of-house operations to ensure quality, safety, efficiency and profitably
• Attends and leads daily line-up with front of house staff
• Possesses in-depth knowledge of operational systems, including payroll, POS (Toast), and Reservation platform (Resy)
• Ensures all employees are compliant with all front-of-house standards & procedures
• Reconciliation of end-of-shift financials
• Practical knowledge of the job duties of all supervised employees
• Ensures the delegation and completion of all opening and closing procedures
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanor
• Manages hourly FOH staff including scheduling, cuts, service, counseling and training
• Touches all tables and guests to ensure 100% guest satisfaction and rectifies any negative impressions
• Ensures standards for steps of service are maintained at all times
• Hires, trains, and develops staff effectively - Takes corrective action as necessary
• Assists with expediting/hosting during service
• Submits nightly reports
• Ensures restaurant is at or above our Standards in terms of cleanliness
• Maintains organized employee files to ensure compliance
• Ability to work 50-55 hours a week

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands.
• Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours.
• Must be able to move, pull, carry or lift at least 20 to 60 pounds.
• Occasionally kneel, bend, and crouch as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Weekly day range:

• Every weekend
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Downingtown, PA 19335: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Restaurant management: 3 years (Required)
