As the Assistant Patient Care Coordinator in our Murray Office , you will provide administrative and clinical support in a medical office setting as ordered and directed by the patient's care team, communicating with physicians and team members about patients' clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

On an Average day, you will:
- Answer high volume and incoming calls promptly, courteously, and in a caring friendly manner, ensuring outstanding customer service
- Convey messages, coordinate provider, patient schedules, and related information to others as appropriate, to maintain effective working relationships in the delivery of patient care
- Accurately, appropriately and efficiently schedule appointments, tests, procedures, and other services
- Maintain patient files, records, and other information; file all incoming patient record documents
- Process and submit orders to outside referral sources
- Upload any lab reports, imaging reports, notes & faxes to EMR and relay results to providers
- Assist with providers with medication refills and prior authorizations
- Treat patients and their families with respect and dignity
- Interacts professionally patient/family and involves patient/family in patient education
- Meets current documentation standards and policies
- Maintain established practice policies and procedures, objectives, performance improvement program, safety, environmental and infection prevention and control standards
- Assist in cost containment through appropriate ordering and conserving of supplies and equipment; ensure an adequate stock of supplies
- Manages and operates equipment safely and correctly; perform preventive maintenance
- Demonstrate the ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations
- Respond to the patient appropriately in emergency or physically distressful situations
- Assist the Palliative Care Coordinator with any other duties as assigned within the medical assistants scope of practice
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have two (2) years of medical assistant experience in a physician office setting
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Must demonstrate proficiency with electronic medical record systems
- Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- Must possess the ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
- Must be able to work autonomously with little direct supervision
- Must possess effective oral and written communication skills, as well as good organization skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
