Peter Pan Seafood is currently looking for an Assistant Production Manager for our King Cove, AK location. We are looking for the experienced Production Lead or Production Supervisor with history in the seafood industry who is ready to take the next step in your career. The Assistant Production Manager will work closely with the Production Managers overseeing the planning, coordinating and control of the manufacturing processes. They will ensure the final product is produced cost efficient and services are produced effectively. The Assistant Production Manager is accountable for both human and material resources. The incumbent sets an example for the department staff in work ethic, safety adherence, and attitude.
- Oversees the production process,
- Develops production schedule
- Ensures that production is cost effective
- Ensures that products are produced in a timely manner and are produced following quality guidelines
- Assess needs for human and material resources
- Communicates with other departments
- Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed
- Reviewing the performance of subordinates
- Identifying training needs, and ensuring proper training is provided
- Involved in both the pre-production (planning) stage as well as the production (control and supervision) stage. A large part of production management involves dealing with people.
